•  Search for flights to find the best available flight options to Melbourne Airport (MEL)

• Best Time to Book: To find the best deals, it's generally ~recommended~ to book your flights 6-8 months in advance, though I generally get a good deal within 2-3 months of departure also!

• Tips to getting the best deal:

  1. Make a free account with each of the airlines (including Virgin Australia, Qantas), and search their reward / deals on travel - we've found these do not always show in google flights and can sometimes convert Chase / Amex points to airline points

How to get to Sorrento from Melbourne Airport:

• Rent a Car

  • Renting a car is a convenient way to travel and explore the beautiful surroundings at your own pace.

  • Pick up a car at Melbourne airport, head into the city or come straight down to the beach :)

  • The drive from Melbourne Airport to Sorrento takes approximately 1.5 to hours

• Public Transport

  • Though it takes quite a bit longer, you can use public transport to get down to the beach

  • From Melbourne Airport, take the SkyBus to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne's CBD (Central Business District)

  • From Southern Cross Station, take a train on the Frankston Line to Frankston Station

  • From Frankston Station, catch the Route 788 bus to Sorrento. The bus takes approximately 1.5 hours
